Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry won orders for four 41,000 dwt oil/chemical tankers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-11-06 16:34

On November 1, 2023, the four 41,000 DWT oil/chemical tanker projects jointly undertaken by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding and Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry from European shipowners officially came into effect. The construction of this batch of ships will start at Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry.

The 41,000 DWT oil/chemical tanker has a total length of about 199.00m, a molded width of 32.20m, a molded depth of 16.6m, a design draft of 11.10m, a structural draft of 12.00m, and a load capacity of 41000t at the design draft. The design complies with the latest environmental regulations and meets the requirements of IMO new regulations.
 
Since the beginning of this year, new orders for oil tankers have maintained a recovery trend in the fourth quarter of 2022. As one of the three main ship types in the ship market, the order of four 41,000DWT oil/chemical tankers will be an expansion of Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry’s ship products.
