Turkish ban on Distillers Dried Grain Solubles (DDGS) containing MON810 corn Standard Club 2023-01-06 10:22

Members with dry cargo ships trading to Turkish ports are recommended to refer to the attached circular from the club’s local correspondents (Vitsan) regarding a ban on the import of Distillers Dried Grain Solubles (DDGS) containing MON810 corn.

The MON810 is the trade name of genetically modified (GM) corn, produced by the company Monsanto.

Ships carrying DDGS cargo bound for Turkish ports are recommended to check the cargo quality certificate and verify that it is not containing above-mentioned banned cargo.
