The 67th COSPAS-SARSAT Council was opened to the public from November 16 to 29. At the opening ceremony, it was officially announced that China and the four Parties had signed the Statement of Intent on the BDS joining the Medium-altitude Earth Orbiting Satellites for Search And Rescue (MEOSAR), marking the BDS enter the Medium-altitude Earth Orbiting Satellites for Search And Rescue formally.
