A cargo ship flooded and abandoned in Taiwan,all crews were rescued Xinde Marine News Vivian Xu 2022-10-19 16:08

Recently, when typhoon "Nesat" passed through the Bashi Channel, causing the cargo ship "SHENG LI" flooding. The captain give the order to abandon ship and seek help.
 
Seven crews, including two Taiwanese and five Indonesians were trapped. All crews have been rescued now.
The cargo ship was hit by "Nesat", causing flooding. The captain ordered to abandon ship and sent a distress signal. Distress position: 20°57' N, 116°01' E.
 
According to the Taiwan Coast Guard Administration, it received a main engine failure report from SHENG LI on October 16, but there was no immediate danger. However, on the morning of October 17, it received a distress report and dispatched rescue ship to the scene from Kaohsiung Port.
