Jiangnan's VLEC list in Significant Ships of 2021 Xinde Marine News 2022-04-27 16:16

Recently, the Royal Institution of Naval Architects released the Significant Ships of 2021. The PACIFIC INEOS BELSTAFF, the world's first 99,000 cubic meter b-tank VLEC built by Jiangnan Shipyard of CSSC, stands out for its innovative and advanced specifications.

The PACIFIC INEOS BELSTAFF belongs to "Panda 99E" series of liquefied gas carriers in Jiangnan. It mainly serves the long-distance ethane transportation between China and the United States with the rapidly growing demand. It is the maximum cargo capacity under the restriction of "The main scale envelope of the Houston Channel of the United States".

In addition, the most outstanding highlight of the 99,000 cubic meter VLEC is the core component of the ship, "cryogenic cargo containment system", which is the world's first use of BrilliancE also developed by Jiangnan Shipyard. The system is a patented technology completely belonging to China and is not restricted by any foreign patented technology, realizing independent control of key technologies.

Compared with other cryogenic cargo containment system used before, BrilliancE has many advantages, such as low BOR, no liquid level loading limit, no wobble problem, low maintenance cost of the cargo compartment, simple and efficient insulation system, and less unloading residue.
