Environmental Protection Engineering (EPE) launches its sustainable Superyacht Division Xinde Marine News 2022-03-31 17:05

EPE, the pioneering Greek manufacturer of global environmental protection solutions, has established EPE Yachting - a new division offering sustainable solutions for the superyacht market. The company offers water treatment and emissions abatement technologies as well as systems cleaning services.

EPE is already a well-established marine sector company, defining environmental protection engineering since 1977, with a solid track record and expertise in oil spill response as well as the development of new environmental technologies.

But as the business continues its ambitious global expansion plans, a standalone Division and complete green-solution portfolio have been formed, offering a one-stop shop for the superyacht community.

Dimitris Avdelopoulos, the Superyacht Division Director, stated:

"Yacht owners and managers are increasingly focused on reducing their environmental footprint.  EPE's wealth of experience goes back to 1977 and means that we can offer a unique perspective and an unrivalled array of premium technologies and professional services for the yacht sector.

"Sustainability and a customer-centric outlook is at the core of the EPE Yachting offer as we look to guarantee excellent results and ensure optimal performance for efficient superyacht operations."

oneTANK – producer of the world’s smallest ballast water treatment system (BWTS) - was acquired last year by industry-leading ballast water experts ERMA FIRST, which is EPE’s closely affiliated sister company. The well-respected German marine water treatment system manufacturer, RWO, was also brought into the fold in 2021. Both RWO and oneTANK are available under the EPE Yachting offering.

The complete EPE Yachting technology portfolio currently includes:

· Ballast Water Treatment Systems
· Bilge Water Treatment
· Sewage Treatment
· Fresh Water Solutions
· Harmful Air Emissions Eliminator
· On-site Disinfection

EPE has also partnered with Blucher, Evac, Ingersoll Rand, Marioff, Teekay Pipe Coupling, Triclad and Wärtsilä SAM Electronics.
