The AIP award ceremony was held at the RINA Asia headquarter in shanghai. From SSSRI side, Dr. DONG Guoxiang, the deputy chief engineer, Dr. CHEN Weimin, deputy director of shipping technology and safety dept., Mr. CHEN JianTing, head of ship performance section; and Mr. Luigi MATTERA, Operational Director of RINA Greater China, Ms. Kelly HUANG, Commercial Director of RINA Greater China, Mr. ZHANG Haiwen, the head of China Plan approval center and Bobby YANG, the expert in CFD and ship optimization field, attended and witnessed the award of AIP certificate. Besides, RINA and SSSRI exchanged expansive opinions in the field of decarbonation, new fuel and smart ship, expressed the cooperation intention between each other.
As the unique technical platform of COSCO SHIPPING GROUP, SSSRI conducts lots of energy saving technology related research for a long time and provides EEXI/CII services to its group. They're carrying out energy saving devices research and design. Their products will be retrofitted into several operational ships for COSCO SHIPPING energy company. This AIP certification is the signal of its capacity in energy saving technology field.

RINA issued the AIP certificate of pre-swirl duct to Shanghai Ship and Shipping Research Institute (SSSRI) which is the technical platform of COSCO SHIPPING GROUP on 28th January 2022.
