New Times Shipbuilding has received another order for three 7000TEU container ships from Singapore's Eastern Pacific Shipping (ESP).
This is after ESP ordered 4 7000TEU container ships from New Times Shipbuilding in June this year, and then purchased another 3 new ships. According to previous reports, the single-ship price of this batch of new ships is approximately US$70 million. Based on this calculation, the total price of the seven container ships that New Times received from ESP amounts to US$490 million (about 3.15 billion yuan).
These ships will be long-term chartered to Singapore X-Press Feeders.
TS Lines, X-Press Feeders, Seaspan, Eastern Pacific Shipping and Asiatic Lloyd Shipping have all ordered 7000TEU container ships from New Times Shipbuilding, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry this year.
