Thanks to the persistently high freight rates in the container shipping market, Evergreen Line's revenue in September hit the second highest in history. The third-quarter performance broke the 100 billion yuan for the first time and set a new record.
 
On October 8, Evergreen announced September's consolidated revenue of NT$49.131 billion (approximately RMB 11.276 billion), a year-on-year increase of 153.84% and a slight decrease of 1.78% compared to August. This was mainly due to the September work day is one day less than August, and the delay in shipping schedules caused by the port congestion has reduced revenue by NT$890 million, but it still reached the second-highest level in history.
 
In addition to the September performance, Evergreen's operating revenue in the third quarter was NT$145.01 billion (approximately RMB 33.282 billion), an increase of 45% quarter-on-quarter, and its single-quarter revenue exceeded NT$100 billion for the first time, setting a new record for the company. Cumulative revenue in the first three quarters reached NT$334.95 billion (approximately RMB 76.876 billion), an annual increase of 134.72%.
 
According to industry analysts, Evergreen's first 24000TEU ultra-large container ship " EVER ACE" has completed its first European route, and the second vessel "EVER ACT" will join the European route on September 10. It is expected to make a complete contribution for a whole month in October. Combined with the addition of the GRI in October, Evergreen's revenue will continue to grow in October based on current freight rates and new capacity.
