In 2020, China Merchants Port's container equity throughput reached 47.1 million TEUs, jumping to second in the ranking of global port operators, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%; total container throughput of 130 million TEUs, ranking third in the world, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%.

In 2020, affected by the epidemic, the container throughput of the global port industry will dropped by 1.2%, and the container throughput of domestic coastal ports only increased by 1.5%. The overall industry production situation is severe.

With the joint efforts of China Merchants Group and China Merchants Port, CMPort has overcome difficulties and achieved growth in container throughput against the trend.

Looking forward to the future, China Merchants Port will adhere to the "marketization + digitalization" dual-core-driven operation model, and continue to move towards the goal of "a world-class integrated port service provider".
