DSIC held the keel-laying ceremony for Brazil's largest BACALHAU FPSO project xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-06-16 16:51

On June 15, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry held the keel-laying ceremony for BACALHAU FPSO hull & LQ project (FPSO-8), marking the ship's official docking.
 
BACALHAU FPSO is DSIC's seventh FPS0. It is DSIC's first partnership with the world's leading FPSO contractor MODEC and the world-renowned oil company Equinor.
 
FPSO-8 is 339.50 m in length, 64 m in width, 33 m in depth and 22.65 m in design draft. The project is classified into DNV, and is the world's first super large offshore project designed in accordance with the latest DNV 2019 specifications.
 
In the future, DSIC will make this production line an example of meeting international oil and gas industry standards and practices, and deliver a satisfactory result to Equinor and MODEC.
