On May 20, China Merchants Group Chairman Miao Jianmin paid an official visit to HKSAR Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor in Hong Kong. Carrie Lam said that China Merchants Group was a long-established enterprise in Hong Kong and had been deeply involved in the development of Hong Kong, actively participating in the economic construction and social development of Hong Kong and making positive contributions to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. She hoped that China Merchants Group would further leverage its strengths, take into account Hong Kong's development positioning, strongly support Hong Kong's development and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and help Hong Kong further integrate into the overall development of the country. Miao Jianmin expressed his heartfelt admiration for the tremendous amount of hard and effective work done by Chief Executive Carrie Lam in the face of the drastic changes in the internal and external situation and the epidemic's impact. China Merchants Group would further leverage its advantages to serve the economic and social development of Hong Kong and contribute to the development of the country and the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.
