The International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) recently announced its 2021 board of directors, including Chuck Cashman and James Corts of MarineMax

Chuck Cashman, MarineMax Chief Revenue Officer, was re-elected to a second year and comments, “I’m honored to be continuing as a part of an awe-inspiring group of industry leaders. When you have this group of people giving back to the industry, and the focus is on the customer, you can’t go wrong. It’s essential to have a voice in the industry that is extremely customer-centric. James Corts and I will work hard to be direct and consistent conduits to the voice of the customer. I’m thrilled that James is joining me on the board for 2021.”

MarineMax Yacht and Brokerage Sales Executive James Corts started with MarineMax in 2002. His history in the financial sector paved the road for his success in the yachting industry. He has specialized training in various product lines and is well versed in foreign and offshore transactions, crew placement, financial services, and charter and construction management. James’ commitment is to deliver the highest level of service and build strong relationships with his customers, making him an industry leader and excellent addition to the 2021 IYBA Board of Directors.

Cashman Continues, “As I close out my first term, I’m extremely impressed by the weight of the agenda and the other industry leaders on the IYBA Board. A lot of initiatives will start at the IYBA and can have a global impact. We’re diving into legislation and global issues and attacking them head-on. What’s more impressive is that we’re a group of competitors, getting together to better the industry. Every time we get together, I take my MarineMax shirt off and put my IYBA hat on – and everyone does that. We do a great job working together without agendas.”

Looking forward, both Chuck Cashman and James Corts are focused on providing the best experience for boaters worldwide. There will be a particular emphasis on raising the bar for all the new boaters that joined the lifestyle in 2020.
