Yangzijiang receives orders for 2 24000TEU container ships xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-12-30 15:18

On December 28, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding signed a contract for the construction of two 24000TEU ultra-large container ships.
 
24000TEU container ship is a new generation of ultra-large container ship with the largest load and packing capacity in the world, which has been customized and developed based on the operational needs of customers.
 
Through the comprehensive optimization design of the ship type, the loading efficiency and fuel efficiency of the ship type are improved, and the ship type has the characteristics of flexible loading, large loading capacity and large number of reefer containers.
 
The ship adopts high-performance main engine, high-efficiency propellers and energy-saving devices to reduce overall energy consumption. The supporting system is optimized, and operation and maintenance costs are effectively controlled.
 
The comprehensive economic indicators of ship types have been greatly improved, and upgraded fire protection measures have been adopted to enhance cargo safety.
 
In addition, the vessel is equipped with hybrid scrubbers, uses traditional fuel oil, meets the global sulfur cap, and has an unlimited navigation area. The vessel type meets the latest EEDI Phase III
requirements.
 
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has delivered more than 40 multi-type container ships of above 10,000 containers. This ship will be the largest container ship in the history of Yangzijiang with the largest container load and the largest deadweight, with a total number of 24232 containers.
