On December 11, Dalian Maritime University and Huaweisigned a strategic cooperation agreement.
 
Under the background of artificial intelligence, big data and IOT, intelligent ships have become the industry focus and development trend.
 
In June 2020, the feasibility study report ofDalian Maritime University intelligent research and training dual-purpose ship construction project was officially approved by NDRC.
 
The total investment of the project is about 117 million yuan. It adopts electric propulsion system and is equipped with advanced scientific research and teaching equipment.
 
It can realize intelligent navigation, intelligent hull, intelligent operation and maintenance, intelligent energy efficiency management, information integration platform and intelligent training.
 
On June 23, 2020, Dalian Maritime University also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with ABS, which has a broad cooperation foundation and common goals in the field of unmanned ship technology.
 
Dalian Maritime University has carried out pilot projects in areas such as technology research on unmanned cargo ships, smart ports and automated terminals.
 
The pilot scope mainly includes: Unmanned cargo transport ship intelligent navigation technology; Unmanned ship remote monitoring and shore-based support; Maritime intelligent broadband seamless communications; Intelligent operation and maintenance of ships; Unmanned ship design and construction; Unmanned ship testing and application; Ship artificial intelligence theory and simulation.
