COSCO Signs Cooperation Agreement with Tianjin Government COSCO SHIPPING 2020-06-19 11:27


On June 12, COSCO SHIPPING signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Tianjin municipal government. According to the agreement, the two sides will leverage their respective advantages and work together to play a larger role in promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
 
Mr. Li Hongzhong, Secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Zhang Guoqing, Mayor of Tianjin, Mr. Yin Hejun, Deputy Secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, and Capt. Xu Lirong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING, held talks prior to the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing of the agreement. Mr. Fu Gangfeng, Director of the Board and President of COSCO SHIPPING and Mr. Sun Wenkui, Vice Mayor of Tianjin, inked the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
 
Noting that the Tianjin government attaches great importance to its cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Li Hongzhong is convinced that the cooperation will be successful through the joint efforts of both sides.
 
Capt. Xu Lirong extended his gratitude to the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Tianjin government for their sustained support to COSCO SHIPPING over the years, saying the two sides will leverage their respective advantages to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
 
During the signing ceremony, COSCO SHIPPING and Tianjin Port Group also concluded the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Building a World-Class Carrier and Port.
 
Mr. Meng Qingsong, Secretary-General of the Tianjin government, Mr. Wang Haimin, Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING, and Mr. Zhang Wei, Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING, as well as executives from related divisions and subsidiaries of COSCO SHIPPING also attended the event.
