Notice of Middle-Upper Reaches of Yangtze River
 


Normally, Yangtze River suffers dry season for 7 months from Oct. to April next year, reducing water depths varyingly at middle and upper reaches. Responding to this situation, load reduction is required to different extent in accordance with ship sizes, which unavoidably results in a decline in container capacity. Adding to this complex, congestion has been preying on Three Gorges ship lock since Oct. 2017. All the factors lead to the pile-up of transshipment cargo at the middle and upper reaches of Yangtze River.
