EVP of CMG inspects the epidemic prevention efforts and operation of HKMW xinde marine news 2020-04-03 10:26


27 March 2020 - Mr Wang Hong, the Executive Vice President of China Merchants Group, had a thorough examination on Hong Kong Ming Wah, a subsidiary of CMES for its current efforts on epidemic prevention and the production and operation, and laid down requirements for the upcoming phrase. Mr Wan Zhen, the Deputy General Manager of Strategic Development Department of CMG, Mr Xie Chunlin (through video conferencing), the Chairman of CMES, and Mr Wang Yongxin, the President, participated the examination.
 
A work report has also been reported by Mr Ding Lei, Vice President of CMES and the General Manager of HKMW. As of now, the positive case among the ship-shore staff are maintained at zero. In terms of production and operation, favorable measures have been adopted to uncover opportunities during crisis in order to fulfill the planned year-round business goals.
 
According to Mr Xie, HKMW must operate with prudence and perceive market changes with accuracy in order to overcome the adverse effects brought by the epidemic; by fully mobilizing the operating staff of overseas branches, greater synergy can be achieved and the bulk cargo business of CMES can be boosted. Mr Wang Yongxin imposed the need to realize epidemic prevention for overseas branches and fleets, by setting the measures to be followed by everyone for different positions. The information and digitalized development of the bulk cargo business should have the shortcomings fixed while the coordination should be accelerated.
 
After listening to the work report, Mr Wang Hong approved CMES' and HKMW's efforts in epidemic prevention and the production and operation, and specified the requirements for the upcoming work.
