1.The technology group Wärtsilä and COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering the development of local production resources, thus ensuring further development and support of Wärtsilä’s exhaust gas cleaning systems (EGCS) in the region. The agreement was signed in June 2019.
 
2.China Shipbuilding Industry Corp, the primary contractor for the country's naval force, will accelerate the development of intelligent manufacturing processes at its shipyards as part of efforts to build high-end ships, its executives said.
 
3.South Korean owner Kmarin has entered into letters of intent with two Chinese yards for the construction of eight VLOCs.According to shipbroking sources, the company will place orders for four 325,000 dwt bulk carriers each at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Beihai Shipbuilding on the back of long term charter with Brazilian miner Vale.
 
4.China’s Lanqiao port (Landbridge port) has inked strategic co-operation agreement with Beijing Energy Holding to jointly invest in RMB6.7bn ($973m) for the construction of LNG receiving station at Lanqiao port.
 
5.East China's Fujian province recently shared the fruits of optimizing its port business environment and pledged to facilitate more cross-border trade. 
 
6.China's iron ore futures finished higher on Monday.The most active contract for Sept 2019 delivery finished the day session up 1.89 percent to 861 yuan per ton.

8.The construction of the Wailuo offshore wind farm in Zhanjiang's Xuwen county is in full swing. The 220 kV cable line was connected to grid on June 25, six months ahead of schedule.
