CNPC builds surface gas system with capacity of 30 bcm xinde marine news 2019-05-30 15:37

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China's largest oil and gas producer and supplier, built a surface gas drilling & transmitting system at Sichuan Basin in southwestern China, according to a meeting held on May 28.

The system covers exploitation of high sulfur-containing gas, shale gas and condensate gas, and is expected to meet demand of annual gas production of 30 billion cubic meters (bcm).

The company has developed a series of technologies of natural gas and shale gas drilling during over sixty years of exploitation in Sichuan Basin, and has produced a total 460 bcm of gas.

Surface gas system, as a key part of gasfield development, consists of gas collecting pipelines, desulphurization facilities and gas transmission pipelines.

Petro China Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company has 10,623 meters of gas collecting pipeline in service now, which well connects gas drilling station, transmitting station, purifying station and dehydration station.

Thus a wide gas pipeline network has formed in eastern, central and southern Sichuan, contributing to easy and flexible dispatch in the region.

The firm has also built 9,818 meters of outbound transmission pipeline, a number of purifying stations with annual desulphurization capacity of 22.7 bcm, eight light hydrocarbon plants and one LNG plant.
