1.CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping is looking to raise up to HKD 2.18 billion (USD 277.7 million) through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.The shipowning arm of state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) said it will issue 1.534 billion new shares.
 
2.Danish tanker owner and operator Maersk Product Tankers has confirmed the order for the remaining four of ten LR2 newbuildings from China’s Dalian Shipyard.
 
3.China's first homebuilt roll-on/roll-off(ro-ro) vessel propelled by both traditional fuel and liquefied natural gas (LNG) left the shipyard on Wednesday in Xiamen City of east China's Fujian Province for sea trials. 
 
4.Falling iron ore stockpiles in China, now at their lowest level in more than two years, have provided a fresh price push for the crucial steelmaking commodity and sent the stock prices of Australia’s biggest miners towards new highs.
 
5.On the morning of May 22, Deputy Secretary of Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Lianyungang Mr. Fang Wei visited COSCO SHIPPING and held talks with Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong. The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation to give play to the geographic advantage of Lianyungang and jointly promote the Belt and Road construction. 
 
6.China’s iron ore jumped to a fresh record on Tuesday, but the rally fizzled out, as bets continued that there could be a further squeeze in supply of the steelmaking feedstock from Brazil, while domestic demand remained brisk.
 
7.China imported a record high 2.79 million mt of LNG from Australia in April, up 61.3% year on year, latest customs data showed, amid growing domestic gas consumption, rising Australian LNG export capacity and trade tensions between China and the US.
 
8.SOLAR, a Chinese container ship with a capacity of 21,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit), arrived on Saturday at the CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal of Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
