Over 30 Containers Fell into Water in Yangtze Estuary

Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Center reported that a multi-purpose vessel carrying more than 400 containers named "Peng An Sheng" was affected by the cold wave and wind round the Yangtze Estuary D3 light buoy north of the waters, and thirty one 40-foot containers fell into water at 3:25 pm on the 18th.

There are car accessories inside the box without dangerous goods.

At present, the center appointed Wusong Maritime Administration "Sea Tour 012" and coordinates 4 salvage ships including "Donglei 5", "Donglei 12", "Donglei 16" and "Southeast 12" to the scene. The Yangtze Estuary deepwater channel navigation and the import of international cruise program are normal. Please obey traffic control command and drive cautiously when passing the Yangtze Estuary.

Satellite ais provided by Shipxy shows that at 22:50 p.m. (Beijing time), the ship passed normally in both north and south waterways.

However, sources from Xinde Marine News say that the weather conditions in the Yangtze Estuary are not ideal for these two days. It may be slightly harder to salvage.
