1.The first batch of power generating units of the furthest offshore wind farm in China — Dafeng offshore wind farm, established by Jiangsu branch of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd, has come into operation on April 28, sources reported. 
 
2.Global natural gas market is undergoing substantial changes as demand from emerging economies such as China and India is increasing at a rapid pace, according to industry observers. 
 
3.Pangaea Logistics Solutions, a global provider of comprehensive maritime logistics and transportation solutions, has signed a contract to build two new post-panamax 95,000 dwt ice-class dry bulk vessels at Guangzhou Shipyard International in China to support the new business.
 
4.To further promote Hong Kong as an international maritime centre and startup hub, the Young Professionals in Shipping Network(YPSNHK) will launch“The Captain’s Table”in Hong Kong at 19 November 2019 ,and the submissions will close on 31 July 2019.
 
5.The construction of the 500-kilovolt(kv) ultra-high voltage submarine cable laid beneath the Zhoushan Strait located in east China's Zhejiang Province enters its final cablecasting stage and will be ready for operation in mid-June. 
 
6.Zhuhai Port is rated 7th among the World's Most Promising Container Ports in the Global Port Development Report 2018 recently released by the Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI).
 
7.China's iron ore futures finished higher on Monday.The most active contract for September 2019 delivery finished the day session up 0.55 percent to 638 yuan per ton. 
 
8.China's bulk commodity market continued to grow in April with stable expansion in supply and sales, industrial data showed.The China Bulk Merchandise Index (CBMI), a gauge of domestic bulk commodity market growth, stood above the boom-or-bust line of 100 percent to stand at 102.6 percent in April, down 0.9 percentage points compared with March, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).
