1.Members from China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) held discussions with board members of the Croatian shipbuilding group Uljanik, regarding a potential investment on two financially-troubled shipyards.

2.Danish offshore firm ?rsted has taken the final investment decision (FID) on the Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farm in Taiwan. Located 35-50 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County, the wind farm will have a capacity of approximately 900MW, enough to supply around 1 million Taiwanese households with green power.

3.Agnes Wong Tin-yu, Hong Kong’s current Director-General of Communications is to take up the role of Director of Marine with effect from 14 May. The current incumbent, Maisie Cheng Mei-sze will move to the post of permanent secretary for the Environment/Director of Environmental Protection.

4.Zhanjiang, a coastal city in the southwest of Guangdong province, will rely on its advantages in location, resources and industries to integrate with the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to senior officials of the city.

5.Shipping companies are choosing to berth their large container ships in greater numbers at Taicang Port in East China's Jiangsu province, neighboring Shanghai, reinforcing the port's leading position in foreign trade along the Yangtze River.

6.Russian giant Gazprom discussed the development prospects of the Chinese gas market with CNPC. Gazprom’s head Alexey Miller and CNPC chairman Wang Yilin discussed strategic aspects of cooperation between the two companies, paying particular attention to gas supplies.

7.On the afternoon of April 23, a delegation of seven people headed by Global Executive President of Dell and President of Dell Greater China Mr. Huang Chenhong and CEO of Talent Magazine Ms. Song Lixin visited the Beijing Ocean Plaza of COSCO SHIPPING. Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong met with the guests.

8.On 13 April 2019, CIMC Raffles signed an EPC contract for up to four LNG powered MegaRoRo vessels with Wallenius SOL in Stockholm, Sweden.
