On April 18, 2019, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Mr. Lou Qinjian and Governor of Jiangsu Province Mr. Wu Zhenglong met with a delegation headed by Party Secretary and Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong. Other participants of the meeting include Executive Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province Mr. Fan Jinlong, Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Mr. Yang Qi and Ms. Su Huimin, Secretary of Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee Mr. Xie Zhengyi, Mayor of Yangzhou Mr. Xia Xinmin, related heads of Yangzhou Municipal Government and Jiangdu District, Director and Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Sun Jiakang, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Sun Yunfei, Director of Party Disciplinary Inspection Office Mr. Liu Hongwei, External Director of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Liu Zhangmin, Mr. Chung Shui Ming and Mr. Xu Donggen, as well as leaders of the relevant divisions of COSCO SHIPPING.

 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed their good cooperation over the years, and exchanged views on thoroughly implementing the new development philosophy and requirement on high-quality development, deepening cooperation between centrally-administered SOEs and local governments, utilizing the solid industrial foundation, advanced manufacturing industry, rich terminal resources and favorable business environment of Jiangsu Province to continuously expand cooperation, accelerating the development of COSCO SHIPPING’s “6+1” industrial clusters, and jointly promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Yangtze River Delta region to serve the Belt and Road construction.
