On April 18, 2019, the naming ceremony for M.V. Yuan Shen Hai, another 400K DWT VLOC of COSCO SHIPPING, was held at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry in Yangzhou.

 

Chairman and Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong, Director and Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Sun Jiakang, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Sun Yunfei, Director of Party Disciplinary Inspection Office Mr. Liu Hongwei, and External Director of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Liu Zhangmin and Mr. Xu Donggen attended the ceremony. Mr. Chen Kaihong, Member of the Standing Committee of Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Yangzhou addressed the ceremony. Ms. Zeng Qingling, Chairman of Jiangdu District Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, named the new vessel.

 

M.V. Yuan Shen Hai is the second of the six 400K DWT VLOCs to be built by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry in Yangzhou. As a result of the COSCO SHIPPING industrial chain cooperation, the vessel is one of the most advanced 400K DWT VLOCs in today’s world. Relying on its advantage in economy, environmental friendliness and safety, the vessel will provide quality services to its clients and further deepen the long-term strategic cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING and Vale.

 

President of China Classification Society (CCS) Mr. Mo Jianhui, together with nearly 100 people from COSCO SHIPPING Bulk, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry, COSCO SHIPPING Development, the group headquarters, the relevant classification societies, financial institutions and ship designers, attended the event.
