1.Japan has joined the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Hong Kong Convention for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships on March 27.

2.Nanjing Tanker, the tanker unit of Sinotrans & CSC, has announced that Shanghai Stock Exchange has accepted the company’s application to remove risk warning from its stocks after the company reported a profit of RMB360m ($53.4m) for the year of 2018.

3.Energy storage solutions provider Corvus Energy has won an order to supply its energy storage system (ESS) for 20 battery-hybrid RTG port cranes in Chinese ports to help cut emissions.

4.PetroChina or China National Petroleum Corporation, one of the three oil and gas majors in China, has successfully developed the world's largest ultra-deep gas condensate base.

5.The sea route between Taicang, a county-level city in Suzhou and Shimonoseki in Japan has contributed significantly to Sino-Japan economic and trade cooperation over the past 14 years, local media reported on March 26.

6.Italian port city of Palermo is aiming to attract Chinese investments to increase its capacity and become the gateway for Chinese companies to European markets .

7.China's crude oil futures settled higher on Wednesday. The most active contract for May 2019 delivery was up 1.21 percent to 458.8 yuan per barrel, data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE) showed.

8.China Petroleum and Chemical Corp or Sinopec, one of the world's largest refiners, continued to lead its peers in net profits for three consecutive years, thanks to its refining and downstream integration advantages.
