PetroChina builds world's largest ultra-deep gas base xinde marine news 2019-03-28 16:23

PetroChina or China National Petroleum Corporation, one of the three oil and gas majors in China, has successfully developed the world's largest ultra-deep gas condensate base.

As of March 25, a total 106.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 24.77 million tonnes of oil liquids containing gas condensate were produced in 14 sites including Dina and Tazhong #1 in the Tarim oilfield.

Most of gas condensate reservoirs in China are deep, with over 80% of measured reserves concentrated in Tarim basin.

Globally, key gas condensate reservoirs lie within a depth of 1,500-4,000m – shallow-to-medium level – in central Asia, Russia and North America.

Gas condensate, is also called condensate, or natural gas condensate, is a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids that are present as gaseous components in the raw natural gas produced from many natural gas fields. It is a high-end fossil fuel for military and civil use.
