1.On the morning of 12 March, the launching ceremony of the Expedition Cruise Vessel No.1 & Steel Cutting Ceremony of the Expedition Cruise Vessel No.3 of China Merchants Industry Holdings CO.,LTD was successfully held in Haimen, Jiangsu province. 
 
2.China’s largest acrylic acid and acrylates manufacturers, Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical, ordered six 93,000 cu m very large ethane carriers (VLEC) is entering into the shipowning sector with the takeover of the contracts from Delos Shipping at HHI and SHI.
 
3.Taipei-listed Taiwan Navigation has placed an order for two new 80,000-dwt bulk carriers at Japan’s Namura Shipbuilding and it announced that the price of each newbuild is $33.98m.
 
4.Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry’s Dalian shipyard has terminated a newbuilding contract with Dalian Inteh Group for a 28,000 cu m LNG carrier due to payment delays.

6.China's iron ore futures finished lower on Monday.The most active contract for May 2019 delivery finished the day session down 3.00% to 601 yuan per ton. 
 
7.CNOOC, China's biggest operator of LNG import terminals, is talking to independent companies about access to its facilities after short trial leases last year, three sources with knowledge of the discussions said. 
 
8.Oil consumption in China will peak in 2025, five to eight years earlier than market consensus, analysts including Andy Meng wrote in a report.
