The formal establishment of diplomatic relations on 12thJune, 2017 between China and Panama opened up broader prospects for bilateralcooperation in various fields. Shipping and related service industries havetaken a vital role in the development. Panama is one country with strategicimportance in international shipping and trade for her traditional flag ofconvenience (FOC) policy and the Panama Canal which joins the Pacific andthe Atlantic. The requirement of Panama legal service would be indispensable.

In December 2018, Mr. Zhang Xubo and Mr. Yan Bingparticipated in a series of activities along with the China MaritimeArbitration Commission (CMAC) during their visit in Panama, they carried out comprehensivecommunication with the local legal community, and duly noted that Mr. Adrian NavarroG, Senior Partner of NAVARRO NAVARRO & ASSOCIATES Law firm in Panama,intend to visit Shanghai, China. Fortunately, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Yan took theopportunity to invite Mr. Adrian to introduce Panama law and share his profoundexperience regarding fields for Chinese shipping companies and insurers.
