The International Agricultural Show will take place fromFebruary 23  to March 3, 2019,  in Paris and illustrates the importance of France in global agricultural exports. On this occasion, discover how CMA CGM supports French farmers and producers for their global exports by opening markets overseas for them.

Indeed, more than 300,000 tonnes of French agricultural products leave each year on the Group's vessels, the largest share being dairy products, with more than 170,000 tonnes of dairy products transported in 2018 from France on the Group's vessels; mainly destined for China but also for North Africa and the Middle East, benefiting from its globally recognized quality.

As part of this classification, fruit and vegetables represent nearly 60,000 tonnes of agricultural goods transported in 2018, destined for Africa, the French West Indies and countries in the Middle East. These flows are characterized not only by the production of kiwifruit in southwestern France but also by European exports of onions, garlic and potatoes.

Cereals then follow with nearly 40,000 tons of wheat, alfalfa and starch destined for the Middle East, China and the United States.

Finally, the transport of meat (cattle, pigs and poultry) totals nearly 36,000 tonnes transported on the Group's vessels from France to the French West Indies, Asia and the African continent.
