1.Netherlands accedes to Hong Kong Convention.The International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Hong Kong Convention has received another boost with the accession of the Netherlands.
 
2.More than 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves have been confirmed at a gas filed in north China's Bohai Bay, according to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the largest offshore oil and gas producer in the country on Sunday. 
 
3.Customs at China's northern Dalian port has banned imports of Australian coal and will cap overall coal imports for 2019 through its harbours at 12 million tonnes, an official at Dalian Port Group told Reuters on February 21. 
 
4.The Port of Hamburg handled 135.1 million tonnes of freight in 2018, down one per cent on last year. The total included a record 60,000 freight trains with 1.6 million freight cars, making the gateway Europe’s top railway port where China remains its top trading partner.

6.The cargo throughput of Taicang port in Jiangsu province saw double-digit growth in the first month of 2019, local media reported on Feb 21.Some 21.14 million tons of cargo were delivered in the same period at the port, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%.
 
7.Capesize demand under threat by high iron ore inventories in China and looming uncertainty in global economy.
 
8.Chinese steel and steel-making raw material prices rose on February 25, buoyed by positive market sentiment as Beijing and Washington moved closer to a trade deal.
