1.The Board of Directors of Orient Overseas (International)Limited has adopted a policy of announcing unaudited operational updates for Orient Overseas Container Line on a quarterly basis.This announcement sets out the unaudited operational update for OOCL for the fourth quarter of 2018.The comparative figures for the fourth quarter of 2017 are also disclosed in this announcement.
 
2.China Shipbuilding Industry Corp, or CSIC, the primary contractor for China's naval force, has completed the basic design and related research for a dual-fuel container ship that can carry 20,000 twenty-foot-equivalent-unit containers, said its top executive on Monday.
 
3.Taiwanese ocean shipping company Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation announced a new Intra-Asia service KVM(Korea–Vietnam–Malaysia Service) jointly operated by YM and APL Co. Pte Ltd through its CNC brand with effect on February 21st, 2019.
 
4.One of China's biggest oil companies has rejuvenated the "lifeblood"of the North Sea after unveiling its biggest gas discovery in more than a decade.China National Offshore Oil Corporation, or CNOOC,together with French oil major Total and Italy's Edison revealed a 250 million barrel discovery in one of the oil basin's most depleted areas. 
 
5.China's iron ore futures settled higher on Tuesday.The most active contract for May 2019 delivery finished the day session up 1.26% to 560.5 yuan per ton. 
 
6.On January 19,2019,Mr Xie Chunlin, Director of China Merchants Shipping and Chairman of CMES,led a delegation to CNOOC Petrochemcial Import & Export Co.,Ltd and met with Mr Liu Song, Chairman and President of CNOOC,Mr Yao Jun,Vice President of the company,accompanied by Mr Zhang Baoliang and Mr Xu Hui,Deputy Directors of CMS and Vice Presidents of CMES.
 
7.Compagnie Polynesienne de Transport Maritime (CPTM) of Tahiti has returned to China’s Huanghai Shipbuilding Co with an order for a unique hybrid passenger-cargo ship,to be named Aranui 6, is tentatively scheduled for delivery in early 2022.
 
8.China imported 1.05 million tonnes of coal from Australian Newcastle terminals (Carrington and Kooragang) in December,up 36.5% YoY .
