On September 21, the 208,000 dwt bulk carrier "CL LIUZHOU" built by Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for CDB Leasing was named and delivered successfully.
The ship, the second-generation "M.Whale" Newcastle bulk carrier developed by MARIC, is the seventh of 10 bulk orders.
The ship has a total length of 299.95 meters, a length of 294.4 meters, a width of 50 meters, a structural draft of 18.4 meters, and a design speed of 14.5 knots.
The EEDI meets the requirements of the second stage, the main engine discharge meets the requirements of Tier III, and it has better line adaptability.
New Newcastle bulk carrier, developed and designed by MARIC, has had orders for more than 70 such vessels since 2013, accounting for more than 40% of the domestic market over the same period.
The new generation of ship types has been further optimized in terms of fuel economy, lightweight structure, wind resistance optimization, wave resistance increase control, and ice zone structure design, which can provide customized green and environment-friendly ships for owners.
