On January 17, Hudong Zhonghua, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, won the construction contract for two 79,900 cubic meters LNG vessels supporting the Malaysian LNG project. This is also the first large-scale LNG ship order received by the Chinese shipyard this year, setting a good start for 2020.
The type of ship constructed this time is a river-sea combined transport LNG ship with a total length of 239 meters and a width of 36.6 meters. The tank type is GTT No. 96 L03 +. It adopts an efficient low-speed dual fuel diesel engine direct propulsion system, which is the fourth-generation LNG carrier in the world's largest shallow waterway, and also another force in the family of G4 "changxing" series LNG carrier.
