China's state-run feeder boxship operator Hunan Ocean Container Lines has placed an order at Hunan Jinhang Shipbuilding for the construction of two 635 TEU box ships.
The two vessels will be equipped with LNG/diesel dual fuel engine and will be deployed for river container transport between Hunan and Shanghai, according to Singapore's Splash 247.
Hunan Ocean Container Lines currently operates a feeder box ship fleet of 12 vessels with capacity ranging from 124 TEU to 526TEU. The new additions will be the largest ships in the company's fleet.
