48 hours at the earliest! Problem of seafarers receiving couriers is solved

On October 5, At the terminal of Dongjiang Port, the last checks are made on a delivery package to seafarers. After the inspection, these couriers will be delivered to the seafarers on board. The couriers were purchased online after docking in Tianjin, and the fastest item took less than 48 hours to be delivered.

When the seafarers of international ocean-going vessels purchased goods online, the process is very complicated and there are problems and hidden dangers due to the restrictions of the policy.

It is understood that the "couriers station" is jointly established by the China Immigration Inspection and the General Administration of Customs. On the basis of not affecting the control and epidemic prevention and control, reasonable online shopping and special products sent by family of seafarers of international ocean-going vessels shall be transferred to the seafarers after counting, registering and checking.

Up to now, the "couriers station" has more than 50 express transfer tasks every week, and has served nearly 200 express deliveries.

Seafarers on the board, there has been a problem of inconvenient delivery. In recent years, efforts have been made to improve the situation.

Earlier this year, the awarding ceremony of "Yangtze River Seafarers' Service Station", China's first seafarers' service station, named by the National Committee of the Chinese Seamen &  Construction Workers' Union, was held. China has promoted the establishment of 13 operational water service zones in Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Nantong, Suzhou, Luzhou, Chongqing, Fuling, Hunan and other places.

In May this year, the couriers station of Zhangjiagang Port was officially put into use. The Zhangjiagang has nearly 4,000 boaters a year. These people have been engaged in water transport for a long time. They take the ship as their home and have no fixed residence. It is very inconvenient to receive couriers. They set up couriers station. The express cabinet of the couriers station has a total of 76 lattice openings, which can basically meet the needs of the crew's express delivery.
