Over 30 tankers to call at Chinese ports

Since March this year, international oil prices began to decline, domestic companies have increased imports of crude oil.
 
Since May, shipments of crude have been arriving at Chinese ports, taking advantage of the collapse in oil prices.
 
Due to lack of oil storage space. Dozens of tankers are currently moored off China's coast and have to wait a month before entering the port to unload their cargo.
 
The number of tankers anchored off China's coast has been increasing since June, to nearly 200. China's crude oil imports surged to an all-time high in May as demand picked up quickly following a gradual easing of restrictions.
 
At least 32 tankers are now moored off China's main ports, up from about 24 in early June.
 
More than half of these tankers are VLCCs, while the rest are Aframax tankers and Suezmax tankers, arriving at ports including Qingdao, Rizhao, Yantai, Tianjin and Yingkou.
 
As one of the important oil storage and transportation bases in China, giant oil tankers have arrived at Zhoushan oil unloading terminal in Zhejiang Province, and have been unloading day and night.
 
In May, Zhoushan completed 5.8 million tons of crude oil loading and unloading, an increase of 27% over the same period last year.
