According to an announcement issued by Seacon Shipping on September 4, the company’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Seacon Shipping (buyer) and Namura Shipbuilding’s wholly-owned subsidiary MORNING DAEDALUS NAVIGATION, S.A. (seller) engage in ship ownership and leasing business. Two sales contracts were entered into, whereby the buyer agreed to purchase and the seller agreed to sell two vessels.

The two 40,000-dwt bulk carriers will be delivered successively from August 1 to October 31, 2025, with a price of US$33.48 million each.

Seacon Shipping said the acquisition of vessels is in line with the group's strategy to continue optimizing its fleet by phasing out its older controlled vessels and replacing them with newer vessels and expanding its controlled fleet.
