DSIC received an order for two 307,000 dwt VLCCs

On July 14, CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, China Shipbuilding Trading and Dynacom Tankers Management, a subsidiary of Greek shipping tycoon George Procopiou, held an online signing ceremony for the construction contract of two 307,000 dwt VLCCs.

As a well-known VLCC construction shipyard in China, DSIC has built and delivered more than 100 VLCCs for domestic and foreign shipowners in history, and the number of deliveries ranks first in China.

This signing means that DSIC has taken the lead in breaking the global VLCC order shortage in recent years and returning to the field of VLCC construction. It also marks that Dynacom has become the first international shipowner to place an order for VLCC this year.

In April this year, the two parties have already signed 10 115,000 dwt product tankers, and the joint cooperation in the VLCC project this time is also a strong testimony of the long-term mutual trust and cooperation between the two parties.
