The Shanghai Shipping Exchange has recently released the Global (Main Trades) Overall Schedule Reliability Index in April. The schedule reliability of COSCO SHIPPING Lines and OOCL, the subsidiaries of COSCO SHIPPING Holdings, reached 77% and 71% respectively, ranking first and second among major carriers, and retaining market leadership for several consecutive months.
COSCO SHIPPING Holdings has fully captured the synergies between its container shipping and port operations, and has stepped up efforts to increase the direct berthing rates of its dual subsidiaries at the Company’s ports and enhancing their operational efficiency, thereby effectively improving the quality of the Company's shipping services. At the same time, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings continued to promote the IOP (Improvement of Operation Productivity) project, and improved the fleet operational efficiency at ports and the accuracy of berth scheduling through information sharing between container shipping and port services, and the use of tracking and dynamic berthing information. By adopting a system+manual approach, the Company continuously improved the direct berthing rates at ports and the efficiency of vessel berthing operations, shortened the time at ports, increased sailing time for vessels, and continuously improved the operational efficiency of the fleet, the stability of shipping services and schedule reliability.
The schedule reliability is a key indicator of supply chain service efficiency. COSCO SHIPPING Holdings ensures the punctuality of its services and strives to retain its resilience in the global supply chain by implementing industrial chain collaboration and lean management.
