MSC container ship lost overboard 46 containers, Bermuda

Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre reported containers loss from container ship MSC SHRISTI some 350 nm east of Bermuda. Some 46 empty containers fell overboard on 3 different occasions, in rough weather. According to track and AIS records, containers loss occurred during Mar 1- 2, when the ship was en route from Boston to Caucedo, Dominican Republic. At one time, ship turned back and made a log in opposite direction, probably trying to avoid further losses. The ship arrived at Caucedo on Mar 5, left on Mar 6, bound for Turkey.

Container ship MSC SHRISTI, IMO 9293442, dwt 64989, capacity 4738 TEU, built 2005, flag Liberia, manager MSC (EQUASIS).
