A few days ago, Fujian Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, obtained orders for six 7500 CEU LNG dual fuel powered PCTCs.
So far, Fujian Shipbuilding has received 31 new orders this year. In addition to this order, it also includes 10 1800 TEU container ships, 8 2900 TEU container ships, 2 22,500 DWT bulk carriers, 2 aquaculture platforms, 2 58m bulk-container carriers, and 1 3720kW electric tugboat.
Since last year, the PCTC transport market and the new shipbuilding market have presented an unusually hot scene. In the first three quarters of this year, PCTC orders in the global market reached 82.
The industry expects that from 2024 to 2030, the demand for new PCTCs in the global market will reach about 200. Under this background, Fujian Shipbuilding obtained the order of this batch of 6 LNG dual fuel power PCTCs, achieving a new breakthrough in the shipbuilding market of this type of ship.
