The joint venture shipyard Yangzi-Mitsui has been established for less than 3 years, and has delivered nearly 30 ships in total, with more than 39 orders in hand.
The cooperation between Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, the largest private shipping company in China, and Mitsui & Co., the largest consortium in Japan, is ushering in a harvest.
Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding has recently received orders for four 66,000-dwt bulk carriers. This is the first time Mitsui E&S has participated in the marketing activities of Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding.
According to sources, the order came from Singapore-based company JALDHI OVERSEAS, which is part of an Indian shipper.
