SITC International Holdings released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2022. During the period, revenue was approximately US$2.258 billion, a year-on-year increase of approximately 69.2%; Profit attributable to shareholders was US$1.167 billion, a year-on-year increase of 140.4%.
According to the announcement, the increase of Group's revenue during the period was mainly attributable to the increase in both the average freight rate and container volume of the container shipping and extended logistics businesses.
As of June 30, 2022, SITC has 97 vessels in its fleet with a total capacity of 140,500 TEU, including 74 self-owned vessels (116,100 TEU) and 23 chartered vessels (24,400 TEU).
In the first half of the year, of SITC's capital expenditure of US$217 million, US$207 million was used to purchase ships.
