According to online information, a container barge carrying more than 50 units of export containers, including EMC, WHL and YML, capsized at noon on June 28, causing eight containers to fall into the water.
According to preliminary information, the barge was loaded in Shekou Container Terminal SCT 9# berth on the morning of 28th. After loading, the ship owner found that hull was leaning, and the dock informed to shift to 6# berth for readjusting. At about 12:30, the barge rolled over in 6# berth. So far 8 containers have fallen into the sea and 2 containers have fallen on the shore! SCT 6# is a large ship berth, which is expected to have a certain impact on the subsequent berthing ships in Shekou Container Terminal.
