On June 27, China Shipbuilding Trading and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding signed an order for a 180,000-dwt capesize LNG-powered dual-fuel bulk carrier with NYK Line.
The 180,000 DWT capesize dual-fuel bulk carrier signed this time was independently designed by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. The ship is 292 meters long, 45 meters wide, 24.9 meters deep, and has a designed draft of 16.1 meters.
The ship is powered by LNG fuel and traditional fuel oil, and is equipped with two C-type LNG fuel tanks. In the LNG fuel mode, the ship meets the requirements of IMO Tier IV, and has notable features such as "green, environmental protection, energy saving, and safety".
Capesize bulk carriers have always been the flagship product of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. So far, more than 280 ships have been successfully delivered, accounting for 16% of the global fleet share of this type of ship, ranking first in the world.
