Jiangnan received another 4 LNG carriers order

Following the first two orders received in March, Jiangnan Shipbuilding received four additional 175,000 cubic meters of LNG carriers from ADNOC, bringing the number of large LNG carriers held by Jiangnan Shipbuilding to six, valued at over 8 billion.

The latest order is slightly higher than the price of about $200 million per vessel for the first two vessels in March this year. So far, ADNOC L&S has invested more than $1.2 billion (about RMB 8.02 billion yuan) in Jiangnan Shipbuilding to build six large LNG carriers of 175,000 square meters. The six LNG carriers are scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2026.

The vessel is the 175,000 cubic meter MARK III LNG JUMBO carrier independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding. Meet the latest standards and rules, with mainstream, reliable, energy-saving and environmental protection characteristics, comprehensive economic performance indicators to reach the international advanced level.

The LNG carrier construction project is the second cooperation between Jiangnan Shipbuilding and ADNOC. In 2020, ADNOC L&S and AW Shipping successively ordered five 86,000 cubic meter dual-fuel VLGC in Jiangnan Shipbuilding. Currently, the project is progressing smoothly, and both sides have established deep friendship in the process of cooperation. This has laid a solid foundation for cooperation in large LNG projects.
