Fujian MaWei Shipbuilding and Eastern Pacific Shipping（EPS) signed a newbuilding contract for 6+4 2,900 TEU container ships.
This cooperation is the first cooperation between MaWei Shipbuilding and EPS in the field of new shipbuilding. The two sides agreed on all technical details and commercial terms in just 2 days.
The 2900TEU container ship is the second-generation Chittagong-type green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly container ship developed by SDARI.
The ship is a member of the SDARI SEALION series. It has a length of 185.99 meters, a width of 35.20 meters, a depth of 17.20 meters, a full load draft of 11.00 meters and a carrying capacity of about 36,380 dwt.
At the same time, the ship meets the requirements of EEDI Phase Ⅲ and is an efficient, economical and green container ship.
The feeder container ship is the main ship type of MaWei Shipbuilding. At present, there are more than 30 orders in hand, and the main ship types are 1100TEU, 1800TEU, 2900TEU, 3700TEU, etc.
