Major shipping companies have successively announced the financial reports of 2021, and Evergreen Line, which has ignited the industry's attention with a 40-fold year-end bonus, has also released an unprecedented annual report!
On March 15, Evergreen said that its revenue and profit in 2021 were all record highs, of which the revenue increased by 136.34% year-on-year to NT $4894.07 (about US $17.112 billion). Net profit soared nearly nine times to NT $239.015 billion (US $8.36 billion).
Among them, trans Pacific freight volume accounts for 60% to 70% of Evergreen's revenue, while Asia Europe freight volume contributes the remaining 30%.
Looking forward to 2022, the cumulative revenue in the first two months has reached about $3.932 billion, an increase of about 93% over the same period last year.
Evergreen currently has the seventh largest fleet in the world, with a total of 202 ships, and the capacity of installing scrubbers accounts for 75%.
In 2022 and the next three and a half years, Evergreen will take delivery of about 61 new ships with a total transport capacity of more than 550,000 TEU. According to internal estimates, Evergreen's transportation capacity will increase by about 11%.
Evergreen said that it will actively response to environmental protection regulations such as CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator), EEXI (Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index) and introduce new energy ships, so as to ensure the company's competitiveness and sustainable growth.
